First Blog Ever

I've done it! I now officially have a blog spot (well, with the help of my buddy Krista). Its gonna take a bit to get the hang of it, but I'm hoping this will be a good place for those interested to stay posted on all that goes on in China (from my end).

We are down to 2 weeks before takeoff! I will be flying out August 2nd and should arrive in Kunming on the evening of August 3rd. I will have a layover in Beijing where I will switch airlines and I really need prayer that the switch will go smoothly. I could get charged a lot for my extra luggage or delayed long enough to miss my connecting flight, and in a different country the whole situation will be much more stressful. I'm still waiting on my visa, which should arrive just a couple days before I leave (it will be close), and the idea of packing up my life for the next 2 years into a couple bags is still a bit overwhelming. God is bigger than all this, as He proved in getting our acceptance letters, and I'm so grateful to not be doing this alone.

I'm headed to CreationFest for a few days to hang out in the sun with lots of awesome people. There will be lots of music, camping, swimming, and bit of fun as well :)
